Flash Back Post: How to Use Airtel Blackberry Bis on Laptop/Desktop, Tablet, iPhone/iPad, Android, Symbian and Java Phones

View month ago I wrote a post on How to Browse with Glo Blackberry Plans on Other Phones/PC which was now blocked by Glo Administrator but since 7th may, 2012 I published a post on how to Get Airtel 1GB Databundle For Just #1200 AND Enjoy Surfing on Other Phones/PC up till now the code is still working fine.
This made me draw your attention back to it, that is till working well and it reliable than that Glo Bis which was not working for complete two month before it was blocked.
For PC/Desktop user and other Non Blackberry Phones user like iPhone/iPad, Android, Symbian, Java and Others who are find means of paying less and enjoy better browsing like blackberry users, i hope this is an alternate for you to stop paying #1000 for just 200MB. As i said earlier this one is reliable than the Glo Bis because this is working for so long before i even posted it on the above dated so you may switch to this if your Glo Bis stopped working too though their allocated megabytes are smallest than the Glo one but is fear and reliable.
NOTE: All Airtel Blackberry Plan are working fine on other Phones/PC Either monthly, Weekly or Daily Plan.

How to Subscribe to Airtel Monthly Blackberry Plan

    1. Recharge your Phone with 1,200 Naira Airtime.

    2. Text BSM to 440 or Just dial *440*4#.

You will Receive a Message that Your Blackberry monthly Plan has been Successfully Processed. Then you will receive another Message asking you to Text Stop Renewal to 440 if you don't want Airtel to auto renew you on this Package. If you prefer auto renew you may ignore this message and if you do not want auto renewal then you have to follow the massage instruction to avoid auto renewal.

    3. Now, Switch OFF your Phone and ON it back after a Minute, 

It is now ready for use.

    4. Check your Data Bundle Balance by dialing *123*10# or *141*712*0#You should have 1.2GB! which is 1024MB. 

 How to Subscribe to Airtel Weekly Blackberry Plan
    1. Recharge your Phone with 400 Naira Airtime.

    2. Text BCW to 440 or Just dial *440*2#. 

You will Receive a Message that Your Blackberry monthly Plan has been Successfully Processed. Then you will receive another Message asking you to Text Stop Renewal to 440 if you don't want Airtel to auto renew you on this Package. If you prefer auto renew you may ignore this message and if you do not want auto renewal then you have to follow the massage instruction to avoid auto renewal.

    3. Now, Switch OFF your Phone and ON it back after a Minute,

    4. Check your Data Bundle Balance by dialing *123*10# or *141*712*0#You should have 100MB! 

Settings To Make it Work on Modem, PC Suite and Other Phones

This does not required you any special setting before it work, it is working with any Airtel Configuration Setting. 

Just Create a new Profile Setting on Your Modem or Phone with below settings.

• Connection Name: Airtel BIS
• APN : internet.ng.airtel.com
• Username: internet
• Password: internet

 That is all.

• You will see a new page where you can complete your registration.  Fill out the short form to complete your online registration. 
• At button of that page you will see 'how did you hear about paga' 
• Select Friend/Family, then enter 07064706571 in space provided for 'Enter his/her phone number'
• In the next step, set your paga Secure Key and security question accordingly
• Confirm your details, tick the terms and conditions box and click the "go" button
• If registration is successful, you will receive a "welcome" sms and you are now ready to use Paga online.
• Click Done 

You can now log in to your paga account at www.mypaga.com to pay for DStv, money transfer, buy airtime etc.

How to Pay for DStv Subscription with Mypaga.com

• Log in to www.mypaga.com
• Click on "deposit cash" to fund your account, about five options are there, just choose your convenient one and follow the necessary procedure to fund your account. 
• After you might have funded your account, click "bill pay"
• Click on "DStv" from the list of merchants displayed
• Select the DStv bouquet you want to pay for in the service box
• Enter your DStv Smartcard Number in the space provided and click GO
• You will see a page with your customer information. Use this to confirm if the Smartcard is yours
• If correct, enter your Paga secret PIN in the box and click GO
• If successful, you will see the confirmation with your transaction ID. 
• Wait for some minutes for your DStv Channels to be restored (If your subscription expired before making the payment)

That's all.

If your channels fail to come up after few minutes, you can follow the steps below:

• Tune your DStv Decoder to Africa Magic channel
• Dial 01 2703232 (Multichoice Contact Number) on your phone (preferably the phone number you entered when making your payment)
• Listen to the voice prompt and press 1 (to fix the DStv error E16)
• You will be asked to enter the first ten digits of your DStv smart card number.
• Enter it, followed by the # key.

Your channels will be restored as soon as possible.

You can log in to your Paga account to check your transaction history anytime, anywhere.

Send Bulk SMS To All Networks in Nigeria With "Etisalat Web SMS"

Ever wanted to send large volume of SMS to family and friends on different networks right from your mobile phone using your own SIM card? You can now do so without having any account with any Bulk SMS reselling agent using the Etisalat Web Messaging otherwise known as "Etisalat Web SMS"

The SMS portal is directly linked to your mobile phone, SMS sent from the portal deducts airtime directly from your main account balance. The cost of the message will be deducted from your airtime before the message is sent. You can send SMS to a minimum of 20 and above.

How To Reset Your Blackberry Device Without Removing The Battery

Today I will be sharing an article on how to reset a blackberry device without removing the battery. I know most of you are already familiar with this trick but for the sake of who still have interest on it, I have decided to briefly share this tutorial.
When you install a new program or have a system failure, you must reboot the Blackberry. This is the same concept used in larger desktop or laptop computers.

Now in this tutorial I'm going to list out two ways of resetting your blackberry. The first technique used in resetting a blackberry is known as the Hard Reset while the other is known as the Soft Reset in most cases.
Note: Before you perform reset method listed below, ensure any open documents, emails or files are closed.

How To Performing The Hard Reset
To throw more light on this I want to let you know that if you are using a blackberry Smartphone that does not contain a Qwerty Keypad such as the BlackBerry® Torch™ 9850 Smartphone, you won't be able to use the soft reset you are only permitted to use the hard reset. The Hard Reset technique applies to all BlackBerry Smartphones.

To Perform The Hard Reset follow the Instructions Below
    • Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry Smartphone
    • Remove the battery and then reinsert it after a few seconds
    • Replace the battery cover.

How To Performing The Soft Reset 
The Soft Reset is very quick and its just a simple combination of 3-Keys. Whenever you want to do this type of reset you don't need to remove the battery. As mentioned previously, it is only available on BlackBerry Smartphone models with a QWERTY keyboard, such as the BlackBerry Bold 9900 Smartphone or BlackBerry Torch 9810 Smartphone.

To Perform The Soft Reset follow the Instructions Below
    • Press and hold the ALT key (1)
    • While holding down the ALT key, press and hold the Right Shift-cap key or Left Shift-cap key (2)
    • With both of those buttons still pressed, press the Backspace/Delete key (3)
    • When the screen turns off to indicate that the BlackBerry Smartphone is restarted, you can then release the keys you have been holding.

A few more things you should know about the reset process
    • Performing a reset does not remove any data
    • To fully remove data from a BlackBerry Smartphone, you will need to perform a security wipe. To learn more, check out this post on What is a Security Wipe and when should I use it?
    • Performing a reset does not remove an IT Policy if one exists. To learn how to do so, check out KB14202 – How to remove an IT policy from a BlackBerry Smartphone which can be found in the BlackBerry Technical Solution Center.
