Now Mtn is getting things right with their new Mtn Data Share Package just like the Glo Data Gift Package.
You can now Subscribe to a Data Plan and Share with your Friends anywhere in Nigeria.

One Data Plan, Multiple Users
Now you can share your data plan with friends & loved ones, wherever they may be on the MTN network.

To get started, simply:

Activate an applicable data plan from the table below.
Dial *131*2*1# or text REG to 131; to register for MTN Data Share, you will receive a unique security PIN
You are required to change the system generated PIN to a new PIN they can easily remember by dialling*131*2*5# or by texting Change OLD_PIN NEW_PIN NEW_PIN to 131. E.g Change 0000 1234 to 131. Where 0000 is old PIN and 1234 is your new PIN.
After changing the PIN, you are required to add beneficiaries to your MTN shared Data Bundle account via USSD menu *131*2*3# or by texting Add to 131. You can add up to 5 beneficiaries.
Once you have added beneficiaries, you (the sponsor) will be able to share your available data bundle among the added beneficiaries by sending the keyword Share to 131 or simply dial USSD code *131*2*4#.

No Need for Multiple Subscription again as Far as your Friends are on MTN Network.

iPhone 4 Impresses Customers with Sleek Model and Low Cost

Apple has always been known for attracting customers with impressive and latest technology, and stylish and trendy devices. The latest device to have hit the market the iPhone5 has been creating a mass hysteria among Apple loyalists and smartphone users alike.

Fringe benefit for iPhone 4 through the iPhone5 launch

A big fringe benefit of the newest launch is that the older versions – iPhone4 and iPhone4s will now retail at a much lower price tag than its current rates. The device which is propelling its growth in price sensitive markets such India and other Asian geographies is not a latest one - the iPhone5, but one that came out 3 years ago. The iPhone4, which was originally released by Apple in 2010 is pushing Apple’s growth in such markets.

It has been reported that Apple has been making a major part of its profits through its older device versions. Apple’s earning results were released on 23rd July revealed quite a few surprises for market experts. The iPhone’s sales in Q3 registered an increase of 20% as compared to the same period last year, and an increase of 18% from what market experts were projecting.

iPhone’s increase in sales in price sensitive markets like India is evident from the fact that “India was up by 400%”, as compared to the US and Japan markets which grew by 51% and 66% respectively. This is driven by the company’s new pricing strategy which includes allowing customers to exchange any of their old smartphones to avail a cash discount of at least INR 7000. Apple is also planning on devising new strategies for iPhone4 in China where the company’s sales recently slowed down.

New sales strategy by Apple?

The iPhone4 gained high sales due to a new and aggressive price strategy by Apple. The company is targeting its older models, primarily the iPhone4 and iPhone4s in price sensitive markets, and in segments where the number of users who have never purchased a smart phone before is high. iPhone4 stands as the least expensive iPhone till date and is even available for free in the US with a two year carrier contract.

With a sleek design, the iPhone4 gives an appealing look and anyone would love to sport it, just like they would love any other Apple device. But market experts say that besides the design and technicality of the iPhone, it is the pricing strategy and the discounts offered by Apple on its older models that is driving the growth in the sales of the company. The price cuts in the older models of Apple including the iPhone4 are largely driven by decreasing production costs, falling component costs and a higher production operational efficiencies.

Alternate sales strategy

Apple also seems to be planning for a low cost model from the very start. This is evident from the increasing sales of older models which are sold at lower prices. If the company focuses on low cost models with margins in view from the very beginning, it could present a trademark Apple device at a much lower cost for people who are looking for their first smartphone at a lower price. Such a move by Apple could also enable it to compete in a better manner with Android powered devices which are provided at a comparatively much lower cost by different companies and fast eating into smartphone subscriber base.

There are no confirmed reports of a low cost Apple device as yet, but evidence strongly suggests that we could witness such a device by the end of this year. If the iPhone4 and other older phones continue their rise in the coming months, a low cost Apple engineered device will not be far away.

The downside of this new strategy?

A possible downside of the pricing strategy for older versions could mean increased problems for mobile app development companies who are already dealing with fragmentation problems after the introduction of the iPhone5. Each mobile app development company, in such a case, would have to develop apps that would suit not only the latest iPhone, but also work well on the older models as well, now that Apple is continuing to push shipments of older versions too.

How To Solve Problem Of Internet Not Working On Android (Turn On Data)

Is your internet not working on your Android phone? Or your money is deducted when browsing while you still have an active data plan ? If so, there is a good chance that your phone is not connected to the data network. Just follow the below procedure to get it done.

From The Settings Menu:

From the home screen, press the Menu key and then go to Settings.
From the Settings menu, scroll and find “Wireless & Networks” or something similar (same place where you turn on bluetooth and wifi).
From the “Wireless & Networks” menu, look for “Mobile Networks” or something similar.
From there, look for an option that says “Packet Data” or something similar and check the box if it is unchecked.

If the method above did not work, or was not available, try the below:

From The Power Menu:

From the Home Screen, press and hold the power button.
A pop up box should come up with a few options.
Look for “Data Network Mode” or something along those lines.
Click the “Data Network Mode” option, which will either toggle on or off the data network (depending on where it was).

This happens to most people by accident for one reason or another (they tend to claim the phone did it by itself). But there is a hidden benefit to doing this on PURPOSE. For example, say somebody needs to borrow your phone but you are worried that they will go on your Facebook and post something stupid. No problem! Just turn the data network off and they won’t even be able to connect but they will still be able to make the phone call and text people.

I was with a friend of mine last week and i was to join a Client Online in the next 5 minutes, I lay my hand on his PC, power it ON and guess what i have to wait for almost 15 minutes before the PC can boot up completely, i was very angry that i have to call the client that i can no longer come online, so i got the issue / problem fixed for him with this procedure am about to unleashed to you!
The major cause of this problem is that the unwanted programs on the PC are starting up when you don't need them at a particular time! A good example is Yahoo Messenger, if you have Yahoo Messenger installed on your PC, and you Power ON your computer, while booting, Yahoo Messenger will also start running in background alongside other programs on your system and before you know, you computer will start running slow, lets get it fixed.

How to Stop Unwanted Program From Running On Start-up
1. Click on the Start Button and type msconfig in Run dialog box and hit Enter.

2. A dialog box like the one below will appear, Click on the Startup tab.

3. You will see some programs ticked. Those Programs will automatically Start Running anytime you ON your PC making it become Slow, Just click on the Disable All button and look on the list again, all the programs will now be un-ticked, try locating your Anti-Virus and the necessary one you need out of them, tick/mark them only.
4. Then click on the Apply button and click Ok.

That is All, you can now start to enjoy your PC, no need to wait for a Decade before your PC can boot up fast!

3 Different Methods to Connect An Android Phones as Modem on Computer

Do you have an Android phone, and you want it to serve as a modem for your PC? Don’t worry; this post will explain how you can do it and your Android phone is cable of doing that. The only thing you can be worried about is whether your wireless network provider grants Android users the ability to tether their Android to use it as a modem.

Today, I want to share the two simplest, easiest and tested methods to connect your laptop, Netbook, or Desktop Computer to the internet using your Android phone. The first method that will be analyze doesn’t require any third party application, it works via wireless. While the second method involves the installation of a third party application on your Android device and PC, and the connection would be done via a USB synchronize cable.

1. How to Access Internet on Your PC with Android Device Using Wireless

This is the simplest and easiest way to get connected to the internet on your PC using your modem. This method works by creating a wireless network on your Android device, so no USB Cable would be required.

On your Android Device, go to Settings >> Wireless and Network Settings >> Mobile networks, select the “Use Packet Data” option, and then unchecked “Use Only 2G Networks” option.
Again, go to Settings >> Wireless and Network Settings >>Tethering and Portable Hotspot, and then select the second option “Mobile AP”. After selecting the “Mobile AP”, a blue wifi icon should appear on your phone notification bar.
Now go to your laptop, netbook, or desktop computer, or any other device you want to connect to your Android that supports WIFI, search for the available wireless networks, and select “Android AP” option.
That’s all; you are now connected to the internet, just go to your browsing and start browsing.

2. How to Access Internet on Your PC With Android Device Using USB Cable (USB Tethering)

Connect your Android Smartphone to the Laptop using the USB data cable.
Make sure the phone’s drivers are installed properly. In most cases, windows will automatically recognize and install the drivers automatically. If it does not, then use the CD which is given along with the cellphone.
In your android Smartphone, go to Settings >> Wireless and Network Settings >> Mobile Networks and select the “Use Packet Data” option. Also unchecked the “Use only 2G Networks” option.
Again go to Settings >> Wireless and Network Settings >> Tethering and Portable Hotspots
Select the “USB tethering” option and you should see a blue circle icon in the notification bar.
You are now connected to the internet. Just open a browser and start browsing.

3. How to Access Internet on Your PC with Android Device Using PdaNet Software

To connect your Laptop, Netbook, or Desktop Computer to the internet using Android is by using PdaNet. This app shares the internet on your Android with your computer. Using this method does not require any root access or hacking of firmware. To use PdaNet to connect your PC to the internet using your Android phone, you will need to install the app on your Android, and the PC version on your PC. A USB synchronize cable would also be required for the connection.

Download and Install the PdaNet+ on your Android phone (PdaNet+ is the latest version as at the time of this publication). Go to Android Market on your device and search for “pdanet” (without quotes “”) using the search function or click here to get the PdaNet+ software directly.
Go to Settings >> Developer options and enable USB debugging mode.
Download and Install the PDANet to your computer, for Windows and Mac.
After download and installation, restart your computer. Once restart, PdaNet icon will appear on your PC tray.
Now connect your Android Device using USB Cable.
Open PdaNet on your Android and tap "Enable USB Tether" to enable your Android to act as the modem for your computer.
Now click on PDANet icon on your computer and choose "Connect Internet". After this, the icon will blink for some seconds and then turn blue, which signifies successful connection.

You can also send SMS from your phone using PDANet. Just click on PDANet Icon and select "start SMS agent". A new window will be opened. Choose contact and send SMS.

Mtn Blackberry Subscription of #1000, Now Reduced to #800 (Bbc Promo)

Just this afternoon, a friend of mine confirmed the text message that was sent to me in the morning and it goes like this "Yello Surprise! Activate Blackberry monthly or weekly service and get 20% discount instantly. Offer valid till July 17th".
